The Austin Smith Foundation is honored to be the recipient of $2,100 in proceeds from the Chemeketa Fire Conference held Thursday, March 20th, 2025 through Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.
The Chemeketa Fire Conference is put on by Backstep F.O.O.L.S. an organization whose focus is to bring training and fellowship opportunities to the Willamette Valley Firefighting community. The attendance of local firefighters and departments to this conference shows the dedication of our first responders to go above and beyond in their training and skills development.
This conference had amazing lectures by Justin McWiliams, Ryan Johnson, Anthony Braxton, Kevin Vining, Fire X Training, and Jeff Deetz.
On the second and third day of the conference additional training and workshops were held. The HOT/Workshops were presented by Jill Fullerton & Ila Borders, Brothers in Battle LLC, and local crews who are just passionate about the job.
The Austin Smith Foundation is excited to continue to partner with The Chemeketa Fire Conference and Backstep F.O.O.L.S who are using their platform to provide continued support to firefighters in our community.
